පසුගිය අගෝස්තු 29 දා අළුයම් යාමයේදී කොළඹ – කටුනායක අධිවේගී මාර්ගය හා එක් වන ජාඇල පිවිසුම් මාර්ගයේ මීටර් දෙසීයක් පමණ ගිය තැන මාරක මෝටර් රථ අනතුරක් සිදුවිය. එම අනතුරින් සචිත්ත සහ අරුණ චමීර යන අවුරුදු විසි ගණන්වල මුල් හරිය පසු කරමින් සිටි තරුණයන් දෙදෙනකු එතැනම මරු මුවට පත්වූ අතර තවමත් පාසල් සිසුවකු වන සඳරු නමැති තරුණයා බරපතළ තුවාල ලැබිය.මෙහිදී රිය පැදවූ බව පැවසෙන සචිත්ත දක්ෂතම රියැදුරකු සේම ජපානයේ මෝටර් රථ සමාගමක සේවය කළ තාක්ෂණ වේදියෙක් ද වෙයි. එමෙන්ම ඔහු තම තාක්ෂණික දැනුම යොදාගෙන ඔහු පසු කාලයේ නවතම ආකාරයක යතුරු පැදියක් ද නිර්මාණය කොට තිබිණ
ප්‍රදේශ වාසීන් බලවත් කම්පාවට පත් කළ මෙම සිදුවීමත් සමග එම අනතුර වූ ස්ථානය සම්බන්ධ විවිධ මතිමතාන්දර ජාඇල හා ඒ අවට ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් අතර පැතිර යමින් පවතී. ඒවා මගින් පැවසෙනුයේ 2013 වසරේ ඔක්තෝබර් 25 දින මෙම අධිවේගී මාර්ග පිවිසුම විවෘත වූ පසු මෙම ස්ථානයේදීම වරින්වර මිනිස් ජීවිත නවයක් රථ වාහන අනතුරුවලට බිලි වූ බවකි.
ඊට හේතුව කොළඹ – කටුනායක අධිවේගී මාර්ගය හරහා වැටී ගත් පමුණුගම – ජාඇල මෙම පිවිසුම් මාර්ගයේ දී වාහන රියැදුරන් හමුවේ හිටිහැටියේ එක්තරා අද්භූත ගැහැනු රුවක් දර්ශනය වීම යැයි ද කියනු ලැබේ. ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් පවසන අන්දමට මෙම අනතුරු දාමයේ ඇරඹුම වී ඇත්තේ 2014 වසරේ මැයි මස විසි පස්වනදා පෙරවරු 7.15ට මෙම ප්‍රදේශයේ ක්‍රිෂ්ණම්මා නම් පනස් අට හැවිරිදි කාන්තාවක මෝටර් රථයකට යටවී මිය යාමත් සමගිනි. විවිධ රිය අනතුරු මගින් මෙම ස්ථානයේදීම පුද්ගලයන් නව දෙනකුම මරුමුවට පත්වී ඇත්තේ ඉන්පසුවය. එහෙත් ඒවා රථ වාහන එකි’නෙක ගැටීම නිසා සිදු වූ අනතුරු නොවේ.
මෙම පිවිසුම් මාර්ගය ඔස්සේ පමුණුගම දෙස සිට ජාඇල දෙසට එන වාහන හිටි හැටියේ පෙරැලී යාමෙන් සහ මග දෙපස ඇති මුතුරාජවෙල වගුරු බිමට පෙරැලී එරී යාම නිසාය. ඒ අනුව මෙම අනතුරුදාමය ලක් වී දිවි ගලවා ගත් එක් අයකු හෝ සිටීදැයි අප විසින් කළ විමසුමකදී එම ස්ථානයේදී එවන් අනතුරකට ලක්වූ ජාඇල නගරයේ ත්‍රිරෝද රථ රියැදුරු ‘ජයන්ත’ අපට හමුවිය. ඔහු අප හා කීයේ මෙවන් කතාවකි..
“මම පහුගිය අගෝස්තු හත්වෙනිදා පාන්දර දෙකට තුනට විතර බෝපිටිය පැත්තේ ඉඳලා මේ පාර දිගේ ජාඇල පැත්තට එමින් හිටියා. ඔය කියන තැනට එනකොටම මම දැක්කා පාර අයිනේ පෙව්මන්ට් එකේ සුදු පාට ගෑනු රූපයක් තියනවා. ඒ වෙලාවේ පාරේ අනික් පැත්තෙන් පමුණුගම පැත්තට මෝටර් සයිකලයකුත් යමින් තිබුණා. කොහොම හරි මම මේ ගෑනු රූපය ළඟට ළංවෙන කොටම වාහනයට අඩි කීපයක් තිබියදී මේ ගෑනු රූපය පාර මැද්දෙන් හිට ගත්තා.
එතකොටම මම පුළුවන් තරම් වේගයෙන් හැඬල් එක කැපුවා විතරයි මතක එතකොටම වාහනේ කවුරු හරි අල්ලා ගන්නා වගේ දැනුණා. ඒ එක්කම වාහනේ නතර වුණේ වට තුනක් කරකැවිලා. නමුත් හැඬල් එක අත හැරියා නම් මමත් අද ජීවතුන් අතර නැහැ”

Flowers are the perfect way to say ‘I love you’, but certain floral arrangements risk saying something quite different. Poison Hemlock (Conium maculatum), best known as the plant that ended the life of Socrates, needs no other introduction. Oddly enough, though, while it’s deadly qualities are well-know, it’s less common knowledge that this one belongs to the carrot family.
‘Devil’s porridge’, as it’s alternatively named, is filled with an alkaloid called coniine. Stomach aches, nausea and vomiting represent initial symptoms associated with Hemlock ingestion. Ultimately it can also cause paralysis and death.

Lilies remain one of the most popular choices for gardens and flower vases in homes around the world. But most people don’t realise that many lily species contain varying amounts of toxins. With a name like Death Camas, Zigadenus is a type of flower in the lily family – in this pretty flower, the relationship between toxins and lilies becomes readily apparent.
Dangerous but not deadly for humans, this flower does represent a deadly threat to livestock that graze in pastures where it grows, especially during the spring. White snake root (Ageratina altissima), the plant most famous for allegedly causing the death of President Lincoln’s mother, grows in many areas of North America. Small white, inconspicuous flowers make the plant easy to overlook. That would be a mistake.

Arguably no other flowering plant has done more damage to people around the world than the opium poppy (Papaver somniferum). World famous as the narcotic base used for the production of heroin, it’s been a tool of war – as in the case of the Opium Wars of 1839–1842 and 1856–1860 – and it’s generally bad news for growers and users across the world.
About the nicest thing one can say about the plant is that it produces pretty, colorful flowers that grow on a pod. Both growers and users care little about the flowers, however. Their interest lies with the pod, which produces alkaloids such as morphine that serve as the foundation for the global heroin production and trade market.

ඒ වගේම එල්ලෙන සම ඉවත් කිරීමටත් මේ වනවිට සැත්කම් 3ක් සිදු කර තිබෙනවා. තවත් සැත්කම් සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතව තිබෙන බවයි ඇය කියන්නේ.සම එල්ලා වැටෙන නිසා ශරීරයේ බිබිලි වරින් වර මතුවන බවත් ඇය කියනවා. ඒ වගේම සාමාන්‍ය යුවතියක් වගේ ලස්සනට ඉන්න ඇය උත්සහ කරන බවත් දිනකට හතරවතාවක් ව්‍යායාම කරන බවත් කියනවා.
